The Mixing Glass is a truncated-cone glass of approximately 700 ml capacity in which all cocktails prepared using the stir&strain technique are mixed and chilled with ice. Often the glass has a slight fluting on the rim to facilitate the pouring of the liquid. Usually no more than two cocktails can be prepared at the same time in a Mixing Glass. For larger quantities, it is advisable to use a variant called a Gallon, which is larger and also very elegant thanks to its blown glass "belly".
