The Boston Shaker was born at the end of the 19th century on an ocean liner en route from Boston to Europe and is the instrument that characterises the figure of the bartender. It is composed of a steel bell (Mixing Tin) in which a glass is placed (Mixing Glass). The Mixing Glass often consists of a smaller steel bell (Mixing Tin) or a polycarbonate glass. The Mixing Tin is also widely used for flair bartending stunts. It is available in various colours, rubber-coated and with a slight weighting on the bottom to facilitate even the most extreme stunts.
