Shake

The technique of Shake is used to blend and chill three or more ingredients (with some exceptions) to be served with the ice from the shaker. Pour the ingredients into a Boston Shaker with ice, shake vigorously for about ten seconds, open the shaker and pour its entire contents, ice included, into the glass.

Handy tip
When using the Boston Shaker, the bottom of the mixing tin should face the client so that if anything accidently squirts out of the top (because it wasn’t properly closed) it doesn’t end up on the client!
